Our character education program is a Christian-based values program that teaches children from infancy the importance of upholding strong values and good moral character. Daily we take as many opportunities as we can to help instill these values in each child. In addition to our daily focus we place extra emphasis
on two values a month.
January: Caring and Patience
February: Love and Honesty
March: Kindness and Forgiveness
April: Courage and Tolerance
May: Helpfulness and Perseverance
June: Politeness and Neatness
July: Citizenship and Loyalty
August: Cooperation and Initiative
September: Respect and Attentiveness
October: Sharing and Self-control
November: Thankfulness and Responsibility
December: Joyfulness and Wisdom |
Each classroom integrates these values into their daily curriculum and occasionally we have special center-wide activities that help instill these values. (Example: Center-wide Art auction for the victims of the hurricane.)
Holiday Celebrations as a part of building Character
We value all cultures and religious beliefs. As a way of appreciating these beliefs we celebrate most holidays. If your family celebrates a holiday with which we are unfamiliar, please share with us information about the holiday so we can celebrate it here. This helps your child to feel valued and an important part of our school.
