Health and safety are our primary concerns at First Steps. We take the following precautions to keep the classroom environment safe for our students:
- Wash every child’s crib sheet and blanket daily
- Sanitize all toys daily
- Wear gloves when changing all children
- The infant, toddler and two year old classes are baby proof and safety is always a prime focus.
No shoes are worn in the infant classroom. - Our health policy is strictly followed
- We have monthly fire drills
- All teachers are CPR and First Aid certified
- Children are taught specifically about hand washing and the importance of cleanliness.
- Preschool children are taught more about how to keep themselves safe in emergency situations
